SpriteCow – A very effective sprite tool

I come across Spritecow around a year ago, and now I do not build an efficient website without it. The benefit spritecow provides are not to be underestimated when working with sprite images within your website.

For those of you that do not know, spritecow provides an extremely easy to use interface, allowing you to open or drag and drop an image, opening it up into the working canvas. From the canvas, the tools and image selection cursor enables the selection of a specific image. Underneath the canvas spritecow provides a class with the background-position units for the selected image.

My experience with this fantastic tool has not only removed the frustration of tweaking background positioning for sprite images, but has dramatically sped up my development time and website load times. Keeping load times to a minimum are essential for visitor satisfaction, SEO and much much more.
